Subway is an American Sandwich shop (now a worldwide franchised business) that makes your sandwich in front of your eyes to your required specification. The people that work there are not fast food workers but are more eloquently called "sandwich artiste". And some of them actually take pride in their work (if you fine any email me to add them to the sandwich artiste hall of fame or if they are extremely bad email me and I will add them to the sandwich artiste hall of shame!
